Main Properties: White or light yellow fine crystalline powder, non-toxic, with a bitter taste. Relative density 1.40-1.44, melting point not lower than 300 °C. Soluble in ether, acetone and ethyl acetate; sparingly soluble in petroleum ether and dichloromethane; insoluble in carbon tetrachloride, benzene and water.

Main Applications:

  • Rubber industry: As the non-staining antioxidant MB, reduces discoloration during rubber vulcanization and is suitable for transparent, white and bright-colored products.
  • Electroplating industry: Used as an acid copper plating brightener.
  • Pharmaceutical intermediate: Used to synthesize various benzimidazole-containing drugs.
