🎯 Abstract
Vanconol® CPI-AP is a new-generation, high-performance multifunctional metal corrosion inhibitor developed through chemical modification of the traditional copper corrosion inhibitor tolyltriazole (TTA). By introducing piperazine active groups, this product retains the excellent copper corrosion inhibition of TTA while significantly improving water solubility and dispersibility in various demanding media, as well as enhancing protection across multiple metals. It forms a denser and more stable protective film on metal surfaces, delivering superior corrosion protection, particularly suited for complex water systems and operating environments where conventional TTA may fall short.

Use and Recommended Dosage

Initial concentration (pre-film treatment): For new systems or those already corroded, an initial dosage of 50–100 mg/L (as product) is recommended, with recirculation for 24–48 hours to establish a complete protective film.
Maintenance concentration: During normal operation, maintain a concentration of 2–10 mg/L (as active matter); the exact dosage should be determined through testing based on water quality, temperature, and system metallurgy.
Compatibility: This product is compatible and can be formulated with a wide range of common scale inhibitors, dispersants, and biocides/algicides, and often shows synergistic effects with corrosion inhibitors such as mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT). However, compatibility testing is recommended before blending with other water-treatment chemicals (e.g., polymeric scale inhibitors) to ensure no precipitation occurs.
