Abstract

Toynol® D-502A is a low-foam wetting agent developed to address insufficient substrate wetting and foam control in high-speed application of waterborne systems. It is an acetylenic diol and branched alcohol polyether surfactant (nonionic). It significantly reduces static and dynamic surface tension (static surface tension as low as 34.1 mN/m in a 0.1% aqueous solution), delivers excellent dynamic wetting, and combines defoaming and foam-control functions. Compared with conventional solutions, it is particularly suited to high-speed application scenarios and offers good compatibility with waterborne systems, making it a suitable option for high-speed production processes such as printing inks, waterborne coatings, inks and adhesives.
