Toynol® Foamic-028 Polyether Defoamer
Toynol® Foamic 028 High-Efficiency Waterborne Molecular Defoamer
Abstract
Toynol® Foamic 028 is a high-efficiency nonionic surfactant defoamer developed to solve foam control challenges in waterborne systems. Using polyoxyethylene ether oleate as its core ingredient, it combines rapid foam knockdown with long-lasting foam suppression, effectively removes micro-foam, and helps reduce surface defects such as pinholes and craters. Compared with conventional silicone-containing defoamers, it is free of silicone oil, mineral oil and hydrophobic particles, does not cause cratering, and is especially suitable for removing persistent foam caused by anionic substances. The product is environmentally compliant (APEO-free) and offers excellent cost-effectiveness, making it a suitable option for waterborne industrial coatings, inks and adhesives.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How compatible is Foamic 028 with anionic surfactants?
A: This product is highly compatible with most anionic surfactants and is especially suitable for removing persistent foam caused by anionic substances. A small-scale compatibility test before use is recommended to ensure the best results.
Q: Will the product fail at low temperature?
A: At low temperature the product may solidify or crystallize, but this does not affect its performance. Simply heat to room temperature and stir thoroughly to restore it; all performance indicators remain unchanged.
Q: How do I determine the optimal addition level for my process?
A: Start from the lower end of the recommended dosage and determine the optimal via dosage screening. Our technical support team can provide free experimental guidance and small samples to help you quickly determine the most suitable addition level for your process.
Q: What are the advantages of this product compared with silicone-containing defoamers?
A: Compared with silicone-containing defoamers, Foamic 028 is silicone-oil-free and does not cause cratering or fisheyes, making it especially suitable for applications that emphasize surface appearance. It is also more compatible with various resin systems and does not affect inter-coat adhesion.
Q: What is the shelf life of the product? Can it be used after expiry?
A: Under the specified storage conditions (sealed in a cool, dry place), the shelf life is 2 years from the date of manufacture. Expired products must pass inspection before use; it is recommended to check inventory regularly and use fresh product.
