Vanconol® MNC-C01 Acetophenone Mannich Base Corrosion Inhibitor

Chemical Composition

Acetophenone Mannich base organic compound. The structural formula is as follows:

Advantages & Benefits

n Excellent stability:Mannich bases exhibit high stability and are resistant to degradation by acids, alkalis, and oxidizers, demonstrating good durability across a wide range of applications.

n Effective corrosion inhibition:Effectively prevents metal surface corrosion over a broad pH range.

n Good coordination stability:The opposite end of the Mannich base molecule typically features a ligand capable of forming coordination bonds with metal ions, making it an effective ligand in numerous applications.

n Good film-forming properties:Owing to its distinctive molecular and electronic structure, the Mannich base strongly adsorbs onto solid metal surfaces, forming a dense protective film that impedes corrosion.

Application Areas

þ Water Treatment:This is the most extensive application area for corrosion inhibitors, including feed water purification, circulating water treatment, recirculating cooling systems, and boiler water treatment. The inhibitor effectively helps prevent hard scale formation and corrosion in these applications.

þ Petrochemical:Used to control corrosion of equipment and pipelines in petroleum processing and chemical production.

þ Crude Oil Production:Protection of downhole equipment, corrosion control in acidizing operations, gathering pipelines and storage tanks, and water injection corrosion inhibition.

þ Steel Manufacturing:Employed to protect equipment and pipelines from corrosion during steel production processes.

þ Other industries:Also widely applied in power generation, textiles, food processing, and pharmaceuticals.

Handling Recommendations

Ø Wear appropriate personal protective equipment prior to use;

Ø Check whether the material in the drum has solidified. If solidified, pre-melt (using hot water or low-temperature baking at <80) before dispensing;

Ø Without considering synergistic additives, the dosage of this product is recommended at 15 ppm or above based on the final operating environment (e.g., high-temperature refinery overhead corrosion inhibitor); however, laboratory testing is recommended to verify optimal performance.

Storage & Transportation

a)The product is packaged in iron drums with a net content of 220 L per drum. Alternative packaging can be provided upon customer request.

b)During storage and transportation, protect from sunlight, fire, moisture, and impact. Store in a clean, cool, and dry warehouse.

c)After use, ensure any remaining product in the container is properly sealed to prevent evaporation.

d)The shelf life of this product is one year at ambient temperature.
